Your Voice at the State Capitol Since 1981
Welcome to the CPA Advocacy Site
Connecticut Preservation Action has been the unified voice of the preservation community at the State Capitol since 1980.

Our mission is to bring together organizations and individuals to unite behind a common public policy agenda at local, state and national levels promoting historic preservation.

We hope this site will provide you with all the information as well as the tools to be the most effective advocate you can be for historic preservation.

Please feel free to explore this site and provide us with your feedback on what would make it even better at cpa@leahymg.com.

Act Now!  Protect the Community Investment Act

On Wednesday, December 17th, Governor Rell proposed $365.3 million in cuts in spending and increased revenues for the current fiscal year to cover the deficit predicted by the State Comptroller.  Included in these reductions is the suspension of payments to the Community Investment Act Fund.  The loss of this funding stream would be profoundly devastating to historic preservation in Connecticut.  We will lose staff, programs, grants, and momentum on dozens of important projects.
